can someone do a hotmail.co.uk setup so further hotmail users can easily get started

We'll get working on this.

Note, however: Hotmail does not provide free access to email accounts using internet-standard IMAP or POP3 protocols needed by the BlueWhaleMail service.

The site at following link has some explanation about why as well as some suggestions:
Ask Leo: What are MSN HotMail's POP3 and SMTP settings for Outlook Express?
(they suggest that this was a business decision by Microsoft).


Unfortunately, this means that unless you upgrade to a paid Hotmail Plus account, currently it is not possible to access Hotmail with the BlueWhaleMail service.

There are companies who make accounts you can sign up for that let you access Hotmail via IMAP...
